EU-ZNZ BUSINESS FORUM 2025 Strengthening Zanzibar - European Union Public Private Dialogue - Unlocking opportunities

February 27th, 2025, Zanzibar, Tanzania

EU-ZNZ BUSINESS FORUM 2025

Welcome to the Zanzibar-European Business Forum, hosted by the European Union together with the European Business Group (EUBG) in partnership with the Ministry of State, President Office, Labour Economic Affairs and Investment through Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA). Following the success of our first forum in June 2022, which attracted over 200 key investment stakeholders, this second edition continues our commitment to fostering business partnerships in Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania known for its rich cultural heritage and strategic Indian Ocean location.
This year's forum theme, “Strengthening Zanzibar – European Union Public Private Dialogue - Unlocking Opportunities,” aims to create a vibrant platform for public-private dialogue. We will convene policymakers, regulators, investors, and business leaders to collaboratively enhance the business environment in Zanzibar while exploring diverse investment opportunities in sectors such as tourism, fisheries, renewable energy, and real estate.
Participants can look forward to insightful keynote speeches, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities focused on sustainable tourism, digitalization, circular economy, and maritime security. The forum will also provide insights into Zanzibar's regulatory and legal frameworks, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the investment landscape.
Our goal is to promote sustainable and inclusive business practices, forging long-term partnerships that benefit both Zanzibar and European enterprises. By strengthening economic ties between Zanzibar and Europe, we aim to stimulate economic growth and development, creating a brighter future for all stakeholders involved.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FORUM

  • To discuss best practices in creating a conducive business environment that supports further EU investment in Zanzibar
